About us
Hello everyone,
A warm welcome to the Kennel Nieve Blanca page, where you can follow the small-scale breeding of Australian Shepherds!
I thought I’d share a little bit about myself...
My name is Kirsi, I'm 42 years old, and I live in Saariselkä, in a house with my Australian Shepherds.
The kennel name "Nieve Blanca" dates back to 2004 when I used to breed Dogo Argentinos. The name means "white snow" in Spanish, referring not only to the color of the Dogos but also to the snowy landscapes of my home, where snow covers the ground for most of the year.
In 2004, my sister got her first Australian Shepherd, and through her, I got to know the breed. Even then, I was impressed by its health, balanced temperament, and easy-going nature. The Australian Shepherd is eager to please, weather-resistant, easy to train, and intelligent – a perfect combination that immediately captured my heart.
My first Australian Shepherd arrived in 2009, and that’s when my passion and interest in the breed truly began.
I completed the breeder’s course on January 20th, 2008, and my kennel name was officially registered on August 14th, 2008.
I am a member of the Finnish Kennel Club and the Finnish Australian Shepherd Association. Additionally, I am a supporting member of the Finnish Dog Breeders Association (SuKoKa Ry).
